First time here?

We're glad you're here.

A short guide to what to expect, what to wear, and where your kids will go on your first Sunday at Oakland Woods.

What to expect

As a church we desire to grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus Christ and closer as a church family. Here's a little of what your Sunday will look like.

01

Our Family

Comes from every background and generation. On a given Sunday you'll see T-shirts, polos, ties, and occasionally a suit — come as you are.

02

Our Music

A blend of hymns and contemporary worship. We sing and praise God together with full hearts.

03

Our Preaching

Is rooted in Scripture — which means it speaks to the struggles, trials, and joys of life today.

04

Our People

Are not perfect, but we strive to be faithful — laughing, forgiving, mourning, and rejoicing together.

Bringing the kids?

We love kids at Oakland Woods. From nursery to teens, there's a place for them every week.

  • When you arrive, a greeter will gladly walk you to the children's area and help you check your kids in.
  • Sunday School at 10:30 AM has classes for every age — Nursery, Toddlers, Pre-K, 1st–3rd, 4th–6th, Jr & Sr High, College, and multiple adult classes.
  • Nursery, Toddlers, Pre-K, and Kid's JAM (1st–6th) are all available during the 11:30 AM worship service.
  • AWANA meets Wednesdays at 6:30 PM during the school year (September–December and February–May) for ages 4 through 6th grade.

Plan your Sunday

Arrive a few minutes early so a greeter can welcome you and help you find your way around. We'll save you a seat — see you soon.
